COMO POOL AMENITIES DUE TO RE-OPEN DECEMBER 2010
A $2.35 million upgrade of Como Pleasure Grounds is progressing well with work recently started on refurbishment of the tidal bath jetties.
Since May 2009 council has completed a refurbishment of the playground,installed underground water tanks to water the lawns and restored the heritage sandstone stairs.
As part of the makeover a new amenities block will be developed to house new toilets, baby change facilities, showers, a lifeguard post adjacent to the existing pool, meeting rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and large open deck Cafe area and water treatment plant.
Refurbishment of the tidal baths includes replacement of decking on both jetties and the addition of new ladders to improve access for swimmers.
Works on the baths is due for completion in December 2010.

Como Swimming Complex is open in the October to March summer season only: During Daylight saving.
Please note: The last day of operation for the summer season will be Sunday 28 March 2010.
