Annual Plant Giveaway 2010
Sutherland Shire Council ratepayers receive a voucher with their annual rates notice which allows them to choose one of two giveaways - either two free plants OR a bag. If you choose the bag, pick it up from the Customer Service Centre before 30 September.
To collect your plants, present your voucher ANY weekday between 7.00am and 3.00pm after 1 August. There is no need to rush as you can choose any tube sized plants in stock any time over the whole year. A stock availability list is below.
Please enter Sutherland Shire Community Nursery via The Boulevarde Gymea, next to Gymea North Public School, not Ruby Road. If you can't make it during the week, there will be a Community Nursery Day on Saturday 4 September 7am - 12 noon, when the nursery will be open for sales and some educational displays. You can bring your voucher for free plants on this day. |
About the Nursery
Sutherland Shire Council Community Nursery is open to the public (7:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday) and stocks a variety of plants indigenous to Sutherland Shire at wholesale prices.
Plants have been sourced from local species through seed and cutting collection by Bushcare volunteers. The stock is perfect for local gardens and for planting projects around the Sire.
The nursery can supply stock for all landscaping and revegetation works. On request, we can grow contract stock for specific projects.

Plants with descriptive labels can be purchased by cash, cheque and most credit cards. Prices include GST and are based on pot size (unless otherwise marked):
